Scottsdale, AZ 85255-8601 Located at the Southeast corner of McDowell Mountain Ranch Rd and Thompson Peak Parkway New Arabian Library Construction Construction is underway for the expansion of the Arabian Branch Library, a 2000 Bond CIP project, to be located in McDowell Mountain Ranch Park. The existing Arabian Library, a 8,400 square foot shared use facility on the campus of Desert Canyon Schools, will be replaced with a 20,000 square foot standalone public library, to alleviate security and public service concerns in the joint use arrangement.  

The new library will serve the community with expanded collections, public meeting rooms, public access computers, an expanded children's area with storytime room, group study rooms, a teen space and a coffee bar. Construction of the $10.3 million facility is scheduled to be completed in August 2007.
