The Ice Den is North Scottsdale world-class skate facility.  This 120,000 square-foots state-of-the art skate facility is also home to Mountainside Fitness, Chilly Bean Cafe, 18 Degrees Neighborhood Grill, Over Easy, and Coyotes pro-shop.  Ice Den opened in June of 1998 originally was intended to be a practice facility for the Phoenix Coyotes.  As building progressed, it was realized that the Coyotes would only occupy a small percentage of the ice den for practice.  It was decided that the Ice Den had enough potential to open a multi-use public facility.

Ice Den consists of twin NHL regulation spaces that are perfect for the use of Coyote as well as any other NHL hockey team’s practice needs. There is two rinks that are year round and one rink located in the rear of the building that is turned into a turf field during the summer months. In addition to professional hockey, the ice den supports youth and adult hockey leagues.  The Ice den is a member of the Coyotes Amateur Hockey Association, CAHA, and is home to the Jr. Coyotes.  They offer an initiation program, house program, and a travel program and league for boys and girls ages 4-18.  The Jr. Coyotes participate in the Sonoran Youth Hockey League.

The Ice Den is also home to the most competitive adult hockey programs in the state.  The Coyotes Adult Hockey League is comprised of over 550 adults on 36 teams.  They have five different skill divisions that compete in year-round leagues.  CAHL also hosts a range of national and international tournaments.

Not only does the Ice Den support competitive hockey, it also hosts an array of public skating events.  Friday Nights they hosts Teen Request Live free skate and Saturday Nights they host Disney Family Skate night.  Check out www.coyotesicescottsdale.com for a list of times and prices of open skate.  Also come celebrate your birthday at the Ice Den.  They have three different party packages to choose from, all including a 1 hour private party suite and 2 hour free skate. They provide a 2017 Sports Summer Camp that is held on the turf field that is partnered with Hi-Five operating camps.

In addition to skating, check out the 13,000 Mountainside Fitness Platinum Club.

The Ice Den is home to the Chilly Bean Café.  The Chilly Bean Café is a guaranteed way to warm up after an hour of skating.  Enjoy gourmet espresso, Cold Stone ice cream, smoothies, and warm tasty treats.  If you’re in the mood for a family meal after a long night of skating, come enjoy meals at 18 Degrees and Over Easy.  They feature their full menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Next time you’re in the mood for some family fun come check out the Ice Den.  It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy time with family and friends.  Check out the Coyotes Ice Sports while you’re at the Ice Den to pick up some Phoenix Coyotes apparel.  Come see why the Arizona Republic proclaimed the Ice Den the “Best place in the valley to play hockey.”
